Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
Certified Functional Manual Therapist

Todd graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2005, after completing his Bachelor of Health and Human Sciences in 2004. He received credentialing as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) in 2012.  In 2017, he became board certified as an Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and the American Physical Therapy Association.  He has also completed multiple advanced courses in manual therapy, orthopedics, functional dry needling, management of neurologic disorders, management of pain syndromes, and improving function through visceral mobilization.  He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Todd’s approach to physical therapy includes using proven, evidence-based treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, as well as other modern practices.  Evaluations include full functional assessments to determine the root cause of symptoms and dysfunction in the body, including pain referred from different regions.  Treatment includes direct, hands-on techniques to any area of impairment. Through kinesthetic training and neuromuscular facilitation techniques, he also focuses on improving efficient movement and function throughout the body as a whole.  When appropriate, Todd may use dry needling as a safe, effective adjunct to other manual techniques and exercise.  Home exercises are tailored to each individual so they may meet their goals.  Todd treats all typical orthopedic diagnoses and areas of the body, also more specifically TMJ dysfunction, headaches, and chronic pain syndromes.

Born and raised in Sycamore, Todd enjoys serving DeKalb County. He lives in Sycamore with his wife, Shannon, and children, Hunter and Isabelle. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Todd enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and water sports, as well as playing the piano.
