Melissa graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master's in Physical Therapy in spring of 2006. She also received her Bachelor of Health Science from NIU. In 2002, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa, as well as a Minor in Aging Studies. She serves on the City of DeKalb Community Enhancement Commission, the Dimensions Youth Ballet Board of Directors, is a member of Lincoln Elementary School PTA, and is a past member of the DeKalb Education Foundation. Melissa enjoys volunteering with Barb Food Mart and in her children's elementary classroom, as well as helping to plan events for Downtown DeKalb.
Melissa is interested in treating a diverse range of sport and orthopedic injuries, varied diagnoses and patients of all ages. She has continued her education in orthopedic and sport conditions, and enjoys treating extremity and spine disorders through manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
Melissa was raised and lives in DeKalb with her husband, Zach, and daughters Lily, Gabby, and Maddy. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her personal interests include cooking, reading, knitting, traveling, and being creative. In the summer, you can find her outdoors: biking, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers, and playing soccer with her girls in the yard.
