Melissa graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Master in Physical Therapy in spring of 2006. She also received her Bachelor of Health Science from NIU. In 2002, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa, as well as a Minor in Aging Studies. She serves as Vice President for the Tyler Elementary PTO, is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, DeKalb County Panhellenic, DeKalb County Farm Bureau, and is a past member of the DeKalb Education Foundation. She is also a graduate of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy Class of 2008.
Melissa is interested in treating a diverse range of sport and orthopedic injuries, varied diagnoses and patients of all ages. She has continued her education in orthopedic and sport conditions, and enjoys treating extremity and spine disorders through manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. She also teaches the Strength & Stability class at Northern Rehab.
Melissa was raised and lives in DeKalb with her husband Zach and daughters Lillian, Gabrielle and Madelyn. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her personal interests include cooking, reading, knitting and traveling. In the summer, you can find her outdoors: biking, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and chasing her girls around the yard.
