Education
Liza graduated in May 2012 from Northern Illinois University with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science in 2010 and her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services in 2009. Liza has had training through the Institute of Physical Art specializing in advanced treatment techniques for functional manual therapy, posture, body mechanics training, and visceral mobilization. She is also trained in advanced treatment of the vestibular system and concussion management. Most recently, Liza has had extensive training to become the Pelvic Floor Specialist at Northern Rehab.
Clinically
Liza enjoys treating a varied caseload including orthopedic, neurological, pelvic floor, and other medical conditions with manual treatment and functional exercises. Liza’s treatments are designed to help patients return to the activities that they enjoy through individualized plans with a combination of hands-on treatment and functional exercises. She is interested in promoting wellness and implementing prevention interventions.
Socially
Liza lives in Genoa with her husband, Aaron, and their five children, Ella, Jack, Vivian, George, and Thomas. Outside of work, Liza likes spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, cheering on the Chicago White Sox and playing golf. She is an active member and preschool teacher at her church in Marengo. Liza enjoys being able to provide physical therapy services to the community in which she grew up.
