Kristin graduated from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2004. She became a board certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy in 2009. She has completed education courses on the evaluation and treatment of the dizziness disorders, manual/manipulative therapy for the spine, Tai Chi for rehabilitation and balance, and Movement System Impairment analysis and treatment for the upper and lower quadrants. In 2016, Kristin completed a series of continuing education courses to become a Certified ImPACT credentialed physical therapist. The Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Test (ImPACT) is the most widely used computerized neurocognitive test for concussions. Kristin is also trained to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and supervise work conditioning programs. She graduated from the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy in June 2011.
Kristin has experience with Industrial Rehabilitation, Functional Capacity Evaluations, aquatic therapy, vestibular (dizziness) rehab, manual therapy, and a multi-disciplinary approach to rehabilitation. Her primary clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of neck and back pain, sacroiliac joint disorders, vestibular and balance disorders, and industrial rehabilitation. She enjoys using an evidence-based approach to develop and implement various treatment techniques.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys gardening, singing, rollerblading, hiking, camping and fishing, and spending time with her family in Sycamore.
