Dr. Ken Olson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University in 1988, a Master of Science in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 1994, and a Doctorate of Health Science degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2003. He is also a graduate of the University of St. Augustine’s Manual Therapy Fellowship Program. Ken is the author of the textbook Manual Physical Therapy of the Spine, 2nd edition, published in 2016 by Elsevier and currently serves as President of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists.
Ken’s clinical interests are in the management of patients with spinal, extremity, and temporomandibular dysfunctions with a combination of manual therapy and exercise. His research interests are in the reliability, validity, effectiveness, and instruction of orthopaedic manual therapy procedures.
During his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his family and attending sports and music activities. He also sings in a church choir in Sycamore, is an active member of the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club, recently joined the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, and is a past-President of Sycamore Music Boosters.
