The Kishwaukee Family YMCA and Northern Rehab invite the public to join them for their first collaborative Lunch & Learn Education Series on Wednesday, September 15 from noon – 1:00 pm held at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA in Sycamore. This event is free and open to the public and lunch will be provided. Masks are required and all COVID guidelines will be followed.
This educational series will be held on the third Wednesday of each month, with a range of different topics to educate, promote and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle presented by a physical therapist at Northern Rehab.
Cami Loving, YMCA Program Operations Director, comments, “We’re excited to partner with Northern Rehab and to bring back our monthly Lunch & Learn Education Series after a long hiatus due to COVID. We are pleased to welcome Northern Rehab’s physical therapist Lauren Momberger, PT, DPT, as our first guest presenter.”
September’s Lunch & Learn topic is “Exercise for Arthritis.” Attendees will learn the basics of arthritis, how it affects aging joints, and discussion of different types of exercise for managing and preventing arthritic pain.
This free event is open to the public (YMCA membership is not required), but space is limited to 20 attendees and registration is required.
