Coat Drive Donations Delivered SUMC Coat Ministry 2019

We held our annual 2019 community collection of winter coats and accessories for the Sycamore United Methodist Church (SUMC) Coat Ministry. A very large donation of coats, boots, scarves, hats and mittens were recently delivered by Northern Rehab’s Director of Community Relations Deb Loitz. “Part of Northern Rehab’s mission is to support organizations and programs that contribute to the well-being and needs of the community we serve. We enjoy organizing this Coat Drive every year, and are happy to do our part to help keep those in need in our community warm each winter,” comments Loitz.
Pictured here (left to right) are SUMC volunteer Sue McCue, Northern Rehab’s Deb Loitz, and SUMC Coat Ministry Co-Chairs Mary Ann Warman and Jim Fisher. Mary Ann expressed, “These donations came at the perfect time, since the weather is already turning colder and we’ve had our first snow of the season. We are so thankful to Northern Rehab for hosting the drive each year, and to the many area residents who generously donated coats, boots, hats, mittens and scarves. Our patrons now have a nice selection to choose from!”
The SUMC Coat Ministry is open every Monday from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm during Food Pantry hours at the church located at 160 Johnson Avenue in Sycamore. Northern Rehab extends our gratitude to all of the community members that generously donated winter items in support of the SUMC Coat Ministry. Thank you to everyone that generously donated to this cause!
