Pediatric Physical Therapy

 
 

Pediatric Physical Therapy aims to decrease pain and improve mobility and strength to help children participate in everyday activities. Our Physical Therapist, Janet, will work with children and their families to meet goals such as improving the child's physical independence, confidence and participation to ease daily challenges. 

Pediatric Physical Therapy is ideal for patients with these conditions:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Genetic Disorders
  • Developmental Delay
  • Palgiocephaly and Torticollis
  • Sports Injuries
  • Orthopedic disabilities and inuries

During the physical therapy session, treatment may include:

  • Balance and coordination
  • Range of motion and mobility exercises
  • Strength building exercise and activities
  • Hands-on techniques 
  • Posture and positioning
  • Motor learning
  • Developmental tasks: crawling, walking, running, jumping, stairs
  • Orthotics
